Every piece of this collection is hand knit by Fashion Design Student Cynthia Thai, which shows her passion and devotion to the art.
Her passion for texture grew after her time at Ultimo TAFE, discovering the beauty of embellished and manipulated fabrics; which drew her to create her own textures. Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton displays voluminous mushroom-like shapes that dominated the catwalk with there ruffled capes, fur-adorned sleeves and organza covered gowns. A stunning color palette of inky black, scarlet red, powder pink and ivory set the stage for the dramatic silhouettes that were more evening wear fantasy than ready-to-wear.
