Here is a package of past recollections and future inspirations, tangled together into a collage of images;
Showing what can only be created. Recording trends, street-styles, runway effects and inspirational pin-up boards from one season to the next. Think of this space as, but one more drop into the great sea of matter, defined, with the ability to realize style and its existence.

First ever McQ store opening in London!

MCQ, Alexander McQueen’s younger contemporary sibling label, is gearing up to open its first standalone boutique in London.

No details can be released about the opening yet - a spokesperson said today - but confirmed the store is set to open early next year in central London, stocking the McQ collection.

Following the death of its eponymous designer , the label took the McQ label back in house after the expiration of its licensing agreement with SINV SpA. The autumn/winter 2011-12 collection - designed by new creative director Pina Ferlisi and set to arrive in stores in September - will be the first full McQ collection, featuring clothes and shoes.

Kanye West Women’s Clothing Line Confirmed

NY Mag says that he’s set to launch a new women’s clothing line. Professor Louis Wilson of British fashion school Central St. Martins provides details of the collection.

“I think we can expect a well-considered collection, you wouldn’t expect less from a pair of professionals and I warn against dismissing it in haste. There are those who might assume Louise will be doing all the work and Kanye is just the face, I don’t believe this will be the case—he researches thoroughly and is hands on and committed to his work.”

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FINAL WISHES:

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN’s £16 million final will and testament was made public today - and his final wishes may help support young designers far in to the future. The designer, who committed suicide in February 2010, left the majority of his estate in a trust for his Sarabande charity, and asked it to consider using this money to fund bursaries or grants for students at Central Saint Martins.

The designer left £100,000 each to The Terrence Higgins Trust and the London Buddhist Centre, the Independent reports; £50,000 to his housekeepers, Marlene and Cesar Garcia, for their “long and faithful service”; £50,000 to his godson and each of his nieces and nephews; and £250,000 to each of his three sisters and two brothers.

He also bequeathed £100,000 to animal charities The Blue Cross and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The designer, known for his love of dogs in particular, left £50,000 in a trust for the upkeep of his own beloved pet dogs.
